i think the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to win it all this year, they have the recent defensive player of the year Rudy Gobert and a young up coming super star Anthony Edwards. last year they were so close to winning it all, they made it all the to the western conference finals but lost to the Dallas Mavericks. everyone thought they were going to win it all last year even me. They were a fun team to watch last year but I think they got it this year and am going to tell you why.
people say defense wins championships, that’s often true in most cases. last year the Minnesota Timberwolves had the best defensive team in the league by far. cool fact did you know that the gap between them and the number 2 defensive team in the league is a bigger gap then the gap between the number 2 to number 10 team. when i say Minnesota is the best defensive team in the league its true and its proven. there going to be a better defensive team this year, when they traded away Karl-Anthony Towns they got Julius Randle in return and he’s a way better at defense, and by the way they still have Rudy Gobert who won his fourth defensive player of the year last year.
they also have experience, they already been to the playoffs three years in a row now (2021-2024) last year was the teams best year ever. Minnesota never made the finals ever. last year was the closest they got to it. Making it all the way to the western conference finals. This year they have what it takes, they know what to do in those big moments in the playoffs and they know what to expect now. Playoffs are way different then the regular season.
They have experience and they are the best defensive team in the league, what more could they do to win a championship? and i didn’t mention it but they also have three all-stars on there team. Rudy Gobert, Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle, so what more can they do. So i think there going all the way and winning there first ever championship ever. What do you think?
